Welcome to Amphibi-Kids Swim Academy

Founded in October 2009, Amphibi-Kids Swim Academy promises highly interactive and effective swimming lessons for children age 3 and above.

We follow the Swim England’s (national governing body for swimming) National Teaching Plan and Ducklings Award Schemes. Our aim is to teach children to swim in a secure and welcoming environment. Not only will we teach children to swim and be safe in the water we will also look to enable children to learn all the fundamental water skills so that they can develop all their swimming strokes and skills so they can continue into swimming/waterpolo/diving/synchro clubs in the future should they choose to pursue the sport.

All our teachers are fully qualified, insured and passionate about working with children and enabling them be safe in the water and love the water. We aim to make the classes as enjoyable and interactive as possible and all equipment is provided.

Our unique lessons are taught from within the water so parents can remain dry on pool side and we teach in small groups (maximum 6 swimmers per class). This makes us ideal for parents who don’t wish to go into the water themselves or who may have other children to look after. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and we operate in 6 weeks blocks throughout the year with the exception of Easter, Summer and Christmas school holidays. At the end of each block of lessons our children receive their own report card which details their progress and any badges they may have achieved.

The 30-minute swimming lessons take place at North Huddersfield Trust School swimming pool (formerly Fartown High School) every Saturday between 9.30 and 2.30pm and at Almondbury Community School swimming pool every Sunday morning between 8.30am and 10.30am.

For swimming class queries, including details of availability and how to book a place for your child please go to the 'Contact us' link and get in touch with either Carly Gonzalez regarding Saturday lessons at North Huddersfield Trust School (Formerly Fartown High School) or Adelle Taylor regarding Sunday lessons at Almondbury Community School. Please note we always have high demand for new beginner classes therefore we sometimes have a waiting list however we aim to have a new beginners class starting at the beginning of each 6 week block so your wait will not be long. Please get in contact for details of the date for the next available block of lessons.

Whatever your query, it's our priority to respond as promptly and helpfully as we can.
